India embracing BS-VI norms (Bharat Stage – VI) w.e.f 01.04.2020 was a big move towards providing a cleaner and healthy environment for our future generations. When Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) Indian Unit – Bharat Benz decided to roll out its BS-VI range of trucks & buses, they after careful competitive analysis chose to work with Craving Digital for its prestigious launch event in Vashi, Mumbai on 27-30.01.2020.
The Challenge:
We had detailed discussions with the BharatBenz team on the challenges both teams would face to leverage the Engineering CAD asset to maximise content production for the launch as it involved multiple designs and variants of their products. The Craving Digital team had to get the designs of the Trucks & Buses right in order to deliver omni-channel content within a tight deadline.
The Plan:
Team CD swung into action and built a workflow involving – Design, Engineering, Manufacturing & Marketing function within BharatBenz.
We patiently worked across multiple stages of CAD optimisation, rationalising CAD models, getting right shaders & textures for the vehicle using photographic references and finally weaving the magic to deliver Omni channel content – event specific teasers, product reveal, product feature videos to be used across mobile & event activation and still imaging for brochure & other collateral communication.
