The three most common challenges faced by the advertising and marketing industry are: compelling content, inspiring stories that move, and budget constraints.
Our approach to solving the advertising industry’s biggest challenges starts with our process of decoding the brief. Without moving away from the strategy as envisioned by the brand and creative agency, we recommend creative and artistic solutions that include photography, CG imaging, splashes, swirls, condensation, retouching, etc.
Take the case of this piece of work for Schmitten where we had to get the chocolate swirl around the celebrity. We shot with Priyanka Chopra and used the CG swirl as a placeholder. This allowed the photographer to envision the final image much before it was shot. Once the celebrity, brand team and agency aligned, we started creating textures and shapes to go along with the image.
Let us look at the process taken to deliver this project.
Stage 1: Sketch using Illustrator to get the basic physics in place.
Stage 2: Rough colour CG render for creating a placeholder.
This aligns all to comment on intensity, swirl speed, shape, volume, particles, etc.
Stage 3: CG render to translate the approved shape into a 3-D object.
Stage 4: Issuing CG passes for refraction, texture, depth etc.
Stage 5: Used Z brush to smoothen the curves and add motion.
Stage 6: Final retouched image.
